Japanese LOTE – Level 1 | Greetings (Foundation – Year 2) is a free starter lesson designed for Australian primary classrooms.

This resource introduces basic Japanese greetings through listening, speaking, and simple matching activities.

It is designed as an entry point for teachers who are new to Japanese LOTE, with clear visuals and no prior knowledge of Japanese required.

Students learn to recognise and respond to familiar Japanese greetings using listening and repetition, without the need for reading or writing.
