Practise blending and segmenting with these phonemic awareness blending and segmenting games and activities. Prepare your students for phonics instruction by developing their phonemic awareness. These engaging games and activities focus on spoken words of up to 3 phonemes.
EVERYTHING you need to cover all 4 indicators from the (Australian) National Literacy Learning Progression PhA3 (Version 3):
☑️ orally blends two or three phonemes together to make a one-syllable word
(e.g. a-sh: ash, s-u-n: sun)
☑️ orally segments words of two or three phonemes into separate phonemes
(e.g. up: u-p, cat: c-a-t)
☑️ identifies the number of phonemes that make up a spoken one-syllable
word comprised of less than four phonemes
☑️ identifies first and final phoneme in a word
