Domino Addition | Number Sentences | Subitising Practice by Pevan & Sarah

Pevan & Sarah SCreated by Pevan & SarahCreated by Pevan & Sarah

Overview

Description

Practise creating addition number sentences in a fun way with this Domino Addition printable!

Dominos are great resources for addition practice - the dots provide one-to-one correspondence counting, students can begin to subitise (recognise the numbers instantly) and they add a visual element to what can often be an abstract concept. In this resource, students create their own number sentences by recording the number on each domino and then adding them together to find the total.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

✅️ 5 worksheets with different domino number sentences from 1+0 to 6+6

✅️ 1 worksheet with blank dominos for students to create their own domino number sentences

HOW TO USE

⭐️ This would be a great follow up individual writing activity after using physical dominos and whiteboards to create number sentences

⭐️ Students could turn over physical dominos in a pile and record their own number sentences using the blank dominos sheet

⭐️ Great for fast finishers, morning work and extra addition practice

⭐️ Use for teaching about number sentences, subitising and the 'counting on' addition strategy
