Subjects
Description
This is a quick, fun, low-prep doubles facts game perfect for your year 1 and year 2 students! This game will help your students develop fluency and automatic recall of their doubles facts as they roll the dice, double the number and cover the result with a counter on their game board. The first to cover all numbers on their game board wins!
WHAT'S INCLUDED
✅️ 2 x full-colour game boards, including doubles facts to 12 (1 die required) and doubles facts to 24 (2 dice required)
✅️ 2 x black-and-white game boards, for printing multiple copies with cost- and ink-efficiency in mind
HOW TO USE
⭐️ This is a simple yet entertaining game for two or more players. Each player receives one game board and either one or two dice between them. Players take turns to roll the dice, double the number and cover the result on their game board with a counter or marker. The first player to cover all of their numbers wins!
⭐️ The two included game boards allows you to differentiate for the skill level of your students. Students of different levels can even play against each other - one student may play with the doubles facts to 12 game board and one die whilst the other plays with the doubles facts to 24 game board and two dice, aiming to cover their own board first. This is a great opportunity for peer-to-peer learning, too!
⭐️ Laminate or use with plastic sleeves to preserve the game boards and use throughout the entire year as a quick review of doubles facts, a maths rotation, an early finisher activity, a wet-weather recess game or a fun whole-class warm up or finish to a maths lesson. The more students play, the better recall they will have of their doubles facts!
